Delete Your Account
The Vault — developed by Abaza Business Services
You have the right to delete your The Vault account and all associated personal data at any time. You can do this directly within the app, or by contacting us by email.
Option 1 — Delete from within the app
Step 1
Open The Vault app and sign in to your account.
Step 2
Tap your profile photo in the top-right corner to open the profile menu.
Step 4
Email us at cards@myvaults.io with the subject line "Delete my account" from the email address associated with your account. We will action the request within 30 days.
Option 2 — Email request
Send an email to cards@myvaults.io with:
- Subject: Delete my account
- The email address you used to sign up
- Whether you signed in with Google or email/password
We will confirm deletion within 30 days.
What data is deleted
Upon deletion of your account, the following data is permanently deleted:
- Your user profile (name, email address, profile photo)
- Your entire card collection and all card data
- Any AI chat history associated with your account
- Your eBay connection and linked credentials
- Your public profile page, if you had one, and the handle it used
- All Firestore documents associated with your user ID
What data may be retained
We may retain the following data for legitimate legal or business purposes:
- Reactions you gave to other collectors' cards, anonymised. The link to your account is severed so the reaction can no longer be traced back to you, but the count stays on the other person's card. Those counts belong to their page, and removing them would quietly rewrite something that matters to somebody else. Once anonymised, a reaction cannot be traced to you or attributed to you, and the link cannot be restored.
- Anonymised, aggregated usage statistics that cannot identify you
- Records required by law or for fraud prevention (retained for up to 6 years in accordance with UK/EU regulations)
⚠️ Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your card data will be lost. If you wish to export your collection before deleting, please contact us first.
